about friends of housing pac

The Friends of Housing Political Action Committee (FOH-PAC) is YOUR voice in the political arena. With your help, we endorse and financially support candidates on both sides of the aisle running at the state level who support the housing industry. When your government relations team either meets with legislators in person, presents in a committee, or has general conversations with those involved in the legislative process, we remind them that housing is not, and should not, be a political issue.

Chip in Fore PAC campaign

Housing issues should be focused on policy, not politics. If you are tee’d off with the political process, support the Friends of Housing Political Action (FOH-PAC) Campaign, Chip in Fore PAC.

Why Your Support Matters

In January 2027 there will be a new governor, senate majority leader and possibly a new speaker of the house. The talk around the Capitol is predicting a Democrat trifecta. Every state house and state senate seat (148 in all) is on the ballot this year.

Every home we build is shaped by decisions made in Lansing. Whether it's zoning regulations, building codes, permitting requirements, environmental mandates, workforce policies, or taxes – government policy has a direct impact on the cost of building a home and the ability of Michigan families to achieve homeownership.

The legislators elected today determine tomorrow's policies and without builders participating in the political process, those decisions will be made by people who may not understand the realities of developing land, obtaining permits, managing construction costs, or meeting consumer demand.

About the Campaign

The Friends of Housing PAC advisors have set a goal amount for each local to raise to help us tee up for the future of housing. We are asking you to make a personal donation of $100 to help us pave the path to victory in 2026. The leader board below shows where each local HBA currently stands.

Select your local from the list below to make an online contribution, or mail a personal check to 6247 Centurion Ste. 100 Lansing, MI 48917.

Join the Friends of Housing PAC team at our annual Party at the 19th Hole reception in Traverse City this August.
