Detroit's land value tax plan: what we know

Mayor Duggan of the City of Detroit has a new property tax plan that would tax a resident’s land separately from their home. Mayor Duggan testified in support of his bills in the House Tax Policy committee on Wednesday, September 13.

Our legislative team is evaluating how they will impact housing and development. We will continue to bring you updates as our questions get answered.
